It’s late, and sleep isn’t coming quickly. What’s the solution? Good Eats. There’s nothing like some good eats late at night. And no, I don’t mean a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, string cheese, or that nights left-overs. Literally, I mean Good Eats, Alton Brown’s show on the Food Network. This guy is not only a culinary genius, but a creative one. For someone that makes their living being creative, A.B. is an inspiration. Right now, I’m watching him talked about “easy spread cheeses” against “firm cheeses” and I’m mesmerized by it. Crazy, I know; but in thirty minutes, he makes you feel like you really want to know what the differences is between Fontina and Mozzarella. Just promise me you’ll watch one show, and you’ll understand. Also, check out his other shows (Feasting on Asphalt, Feasting on Waves, Iron Chef America) and books (I’m Just Here for the Food Volumes I and II, and Gear for you Kitchen). Also, if you needed more convincing, go to his website (www.altonbrown.com) and click on the “What I’m Reading” section. Scroll down and you’ll see he’s very fond of Billy Graham. Say no more, right? So if you can’t sleep, check it out.
